Marketing Coordinator, Edmonton
The Marketing Coordinator position is responsible for all marketing activities for the Company. The Marketing Coordinator is highly involved with other members of the team, all of whom work cooperatively as a team for the benefit of the Company as a whole. The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager.
The Marketing Coordinator will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of her abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism. All actions and decision of the Marketing Coordinator will be considered carefully with the intent of achieving corporate objectives including but not limited to employee job satisfaction, customer satisfaction, sales, profits and other corporate goals as established by senior management.
Duties:
Generally, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting management in creating a professional and well run organization which is able to capitalize on new opportunities while meeting all the challenges to its existing business.
More specifically, duties of the Marketing Coordinator include but are not limited to:
Marketing:
- assist the Sales Team by developing cost effective ads and marketing campaigns geared at promoting and increasing sales;
- utilize their graphic abilities and artistic talent combined with computer design software expertise to create and develop print advertisements, email campaigns, direct mail campaigns and referral campaigns;
- ensure quality control of all marketing and sales strategies;
- prepare, proof and order printed marketing materials;
- develop exceptional business relationships with external graphic suppliers and designers to order and supply marketing communication pieces;
- develop and track advertising measurements to determine a cost/benefit relationship of ad campaigns and help management in decision making;
- prepare reports as requested;
- other marketing duties as may be required.
Internet, Web Site, and Social Media:
To the extent required by Management:
- implement updates and changes to the website as required;
- provide suggestions for improvement of the website to management;
- provide reports outlining web site traffic along with analysis and recommendations on how to improve key indicators i.e.) click through rate, length of time spent; pages visited; web site inquiries, etc.;
- develop and implement social media and e-marketing strategies aimed at promoting presence and ultimately increasing sales;
- provide weekly updates to social media venues such as Twitter and Facebook;
- research and implement search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to our website in order to increase the first page ranking in web searches;
- other internet, website, and social media duties as may be required.
Research:
- organize and conduct market research and analysis on competitors including information on: pricing, specifications, showhome stylings, sales promotions, web site presence, web site functionality, etc.;
- organize and conduct market research and analysis on demographics and psychographics;
- conduct analysis of past homebuyers specifically looking for trends and patterns;
- visit competitor’s showhomes periodically;
- advise management on our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats;
- other research duties as may be required.
Customer Relations:
- assist the Sales and Marketing Manager in promoting, tracking, and increasing the homeowner response rate for the JD Power awards;
- develop customer surveys aimed at understanding the degree to which our customers are “delighted” with their new home and to what extent we surpassed their expectations;
- organize customer related functions;
- other customer relations duties as may be required.
Administration:
- prepare new forms as required in order to improve the flow and accuracy of paperwork;
- assist the Sales and Marketing Manager in the maintenance of various sales reports and customer sales files (electronic and physical);
- assist the Sales and Marketing Manager in developing and/or modifying reports to enhance sales reporting;
- other general office administration duties as required.
Other:
- assist the Sales and Marketing Manager in the preparation and lead up to grand openings, soft openings, and show home openings (may require additional hours on weekends and evenings);
- participates in the annual budget process as required;
- participates in the annual business planning process as required;
- works with members of the management team in a cooperative and team-like manner;
- organize public events for all related companies;
- track, log and liquidate (as needed) old, unused show home furniture;
- assist other departments in the preparation of reports;
- other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Due to the dynamic nature of the Company and the industry which it operates, the duties and responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator will be reviewed and amended from time to time.
